Guy Fieri Opens Gaithersburg “Flavortown”
The star of tv cooking, eating (let’s be real) or any anything food related on The Food Network, has opened up a “Flavortown” in the Kentlands neighborhood of Gaithersburg.
The chef recently open 100 “pop-up” kitchens with 4 of them being in the state of Maryland. They are located in Gaithersburg, Bel Air, Timonium and White Marsh.
The restaurants are delivery only and the menu seems to be right on brand for Fieri. Less sophisticated comfort food and packed with things you love (like fried pickles).
The Flavortown pop-ups operated out of existing commercial kitchens. The idea is to create another revenue stream for brick & mortar restaurants. Employees are trained by Fieri & Co.’s staff to make recipes from scratch.
Everyone’s a critic so if you try it out, let me know what you think.
