Clarksburg Town Center

See this content in the original post

So I had a buyer who was asking, "Where are all the old houses in Clarksburg?" And I kind of half jokingly said, "There aren't any." But that's not too far fetched with all the new construction going on in Clarksburg. Today, we're talking about Clarksburg Town Center.

Clarksburg Town Center, it was built in 2002. It is single family homes, townhomes, and condos. They range in the one to five bedroom and one to five bathroom ranges, so everything from those one bedroom condos, all the way up to five bedroom houses. With that, the square footage goes from just south of 900 square feet to just about 5,000 square feet. So you'll end up getting a wide variety of different things to select from in the neighborhood.

So this is what the last 12 months have looked like. The price range has been between $210,000 and about $730,000. So that was the list price. When you look at the closed price, it means good stuff for home sellers here. Those closed price ranges are from $230,000 to $742,000. So that is a little bit higher than what the list price was, so that means you've gained some equity in your property when you go to sell in the last 12 months.

So if you've thought about selling your house, it is probably not a bad time. The median sales price is $460,000. There is an association fee, and that usually ranges from anywhere between 80 bucks a month to up to about $120. When it comes to the surroundings, you have some amenities right in the neighborhood like community pool, clubhouse, workout facility, tot lots, playground, open space to just enjoy being outside.

When it comes to shopping, close by you have the Premium Outlets for one, and you also have Clarksburg Village Center. So Clarksburg Village Center is going to be a place for you to get your typical day-to-day stuff, groceries and pharmacy, and all that other stuff. And then you're going to have the Premium Outlets for your retail shopping. There's also some dining right there with Clarksburg Tavern, Manhattan Pizza, China Spring, Subway, (eat fresh).

The walk score is a 20, so that means it is car dependent. So you're going to need a car to get around. There is public transit through the ride on bus system, but it is going to be best if you have your own vehicle. The bike score is a 38, so it is somewhat bikeable. There are going to be trails and stuff that you can ride around in the neighborhood as well. So you can get around on your bike a little bit, but it's going to be a little limiting. Make sure you check out MCPS's school assignment website as well if you're looking into what school your kids would potentially go to before you buy your home.

Clarksburg Town Center, it is not the cheapest place to live, but you do get quite a bit of bang for your buck as compared to other places in the county here. Learn more about the Clarksburg, MD Real Estate Market HERE!
