Forest Glen MD - Real Estate in Silver Spring

So if you've thought about living in the Silver Spring area and you were looking for an awesome little quiet place that is ranked number 12 as the best places to live in the state of Maryland by niche.com, well, I think you've just stumbled upon a great Forest Glen, Maryland video.

Forest Glen, Maryland, it is the number 12 place to live in the state of Maryland according to niche.com. It is a census-designated place in Montgomery County, and they estimate there're being about 7,000 people that live there. Forest Glen is seen by many as just another little section of Silver Spring, Maryland. So when it comes to location and access, where is this place? Forest Glen is, as I said before, it's kind of tucked away in the heart of Silver Spring. So it is just north of the Capital Beltway, which is 495, and it is just south of Westfield Wheaton, which we'll talk about more later, but it's a big shopping complex mall, everything, super place. Beltway takes you all the way around the whole DMV area circling DC, and then places like Georgia Ave that runs right through Forest Glen. It takes you right into the heart of the city.

So it's easy access to get around the whole area, and then also a direct shot. Silver Spring, Maryland is an edge city to Washington, DC. So it is not a long trip at all, just a handful of miles to get from wherever you're at in Forest Glen to get Downtown Washington, DC. When it comes to eats, there's plenty of variety here. Cubano's Restaurant is a Cuban spot. Regina's Restaurant is a Mediterranean place. Meleket Restaurant is a mash of Ethiopian and Italian food. All Set Restaurant Bar is American and seafood stuff. So there's a huge variety of different things right here in the local area. Even if those things aren't exactly in Forest Glen, they're in close proximity. When it comes to schools, you still are in Montgomery County. So Montgomery County public school systems are going to be your local school district.

When it comes to shopping, I mentioned Westfield Wheaton before. So that is a big mall area. They also to have a Target there, a Costco. There's a lot of stuff there. But there's other places that are close by as well when it comes to retail shopping as well. One of the big spots is being Downtown Silver Spring. They're going to have a variety of different things, everything that you could want and need. I did a whole video on Downtown Silver Spring. So check that out if you want a little more detail. When it comes to doing your grocery shopping, you have Snyder's Super Foods and ALDI, which are right on or right off of George Ave. You also have a Safeway a couple minutes up the road if you go up near Westfield Wheaton. When it comes to recreation, you do have access to Sligo Creek Park and Rock Creek Park.

So those are going to be close by with close proximity. So if you really are looking to have an outdoor adventure, it's not very far. You go a few minutes, see the direction and you end up where you want to be. Also, you have Holy Cross Hospital that's right here. So in the event that you got to make that trip that everybody hates to the emergency room or something like that, hospital is not far either.
