Aspen Hill Maryland

This week, we're talking about Aspen Hill.


If you live in Aspen Hill, your mail is going to go to Silver Spring, Rockville, or Wheaton, because the U.S. Postal Service doesn't recognize Aspen Hill as a place. It is a place though, there's 53,000 people there. It's a very diverse community. Niche.com has got it rated pretty high for some cool stuff as well. Number three for the most diverse places to live, number three most diverse suburbs, and number 50 for the suburbs with the best schools in Maryland.

Aspen Hill is located just about six miles north of Washington, DC, so you're going to have Wheaton and Silver Spring to the south, to the west of you, you're going to have Rockville. Olney is going to be over top of you to the north, and to the east side of things you're going to have Colesville.

So in terms of getting around, it does have a couple of main hubs that run right through the middle of it, Georgia Ave being one, runs right through the middle of town. You also have Connecticut Ave that runs right through the heart of Aspen Hill. These major roadways, they'll get you down to the Intercounty Connector 200, they'll take you all the way down to 495 so that you can get around the whole DMV, they'll also be a straight shot to get you right into the heart of Washington, DC.

There is no metro train access right in aspen hill. If you head down Georgia Ave just a few minutes you have access to the Glenmont Red Line Station. There is also the Ride On bus system which takes you all throughout Montgomery County spread throughout the area.

When it comes to dining, you have some options there. Pho An & Grill for Vietnamese, Pollo Central for a little bit of chicken. You're going to have an Outback Steakhouse, and you're also going to have a Kobe Japanese hibachi and sushi spot.

Aspen Hill is serviced by three different high schools. You'll have Rockville High School, Wheaton High School, and Kennedy High School. For middle schools, you're going to have Earle B. Wood, Parkland Middle School, and Argyle Middle School. Elementary schools are going to be Bel Pre, Strathmore, and Flower Valley.

If you're in Aspen Hill, where do you do your shopping? Aspen Hill Shopping Center is one place. Over there you're going to have a giant food store, you're going to have a CVS, there's a liquor store, Bank of America. You also have Northgate Plaza. Over there you got Michaels, Walgreens, Papa Johns. There's also a Kohl's over there as well. Aspen Manor has the Lotte Market. They got an Advanced Auto Parts store so if you need something for the car, you can run right over there. Brazilian Bakery, and that's all also where the Outback Steakhouse is.

There are quite a few local parks in the area, Aspen Hill Local Park being one of them, Strathmore Local Park being another. You also have the Aspen Hill Club. Over there you'll have tennis, pickleball, swimming, there's fitness classes, there's a bunch over there to do so make sure you jump on their website and check that out as well.
