A question I get all the time is how do you prep your home for sale? So I am doing a video. It's kind of the cheat code, but I'm giving you my top three list of things that you need to do to prep your home to get it sold the right way. Make sure you watch to the end, because I'm going to be putting up a little freebie there. So just for watching the video, I'm going to give you a little bonus. Today we're going to talk about the top three things that you need to do inside your house to get it sold.

Number one, you need to clean and declutter.

What does that mean? Obviously clean, right? Yeah, clean and get all your personal objects out of there, all your religious artifacts, any family photos, things like that. Think about making your home show look and feel like a fancy hotel room. There are not many people who have an interest in buying a house that's dirty or it smells, and if it does either one of those things, be prepared for low ball offers.

Number two, paint the walls.

If it's been more than three years since you last painted, then guess what? It's probably time. And I got bad news for a lot of people, all white, all white, all white, just not the way to go anymore.

Number Three, Flooring.

The third thing that you need to do to make sure that you get your home sold the right way is make sure you address the flooring.

So just like with the paint, if the carpet has been there for more than about three years or so, it's probably going to be time to change that bad boy out. If you have carpet and it's been years since it's been swapped out, replace it. If you got pets, replace it. You got little kids, replace it, little kids are grimy. Got two of my own at home, they're ripe, trust me.
