Location & Access:

Clarksburg, MD is located about 30 miles North of DC in the northern portion of Montgomery County. It is sandwiched between Damascus to the east, Germantown to the south, Barnesville to the west and Urbana being north or Clarksburg. Exit 18 off of I-270 will put you in the heart of town with the premium outlets to the west and Clarksburg Village Center to the east.

Dining:

There are some good places to eat in clarksburg as well. GrillMarx is a great option for those looking for a steakhouse meal. They offer more than just beef, you can also order from the raw bar if that’s your speed. Red Bowl Sushi is a good spot for Asian food. Clarksburg Tavern if you’re looking for beers, a burger and fries.

Schools:

Clarksburg High School is located right in the middle of town on 355. Depending on where you live you may be assigned to a local HS in Germantown or Gaithersburg.

Shopping:

If you are looking for clothing and retail shopping you’ve come to the right place. Clarksburg is the home of the Premium Outlets. Recreation:

Little Bennett Park (has campground), Black Hill Regional Park, Ridge Road Recreation Park. Butler’s Orchard is technically in Germantown but their is lots to do and it is basically on the edge of town.

Clarksburg Maryland is a great place to consider if you are looking for a small piece of suburbia within the DC Metro. It’s got easy access to the entire DMV, numerous dining options, shopping and plenty of space for fun outdoor activities with the local parks in Clarksburg.
