Rockville MD is the largest city in Montgomery County and the 3rd largest in the state. Rockville is made up of suburbs that have vibrant community and can have a subtle small town feel, all within the city limits.

It’s located approximately 17 miles from the district which is about a 25 minute drive, pending traffic. There are also multiple metro stops in Rockville, to further compliment the rest of the public transportation systems.

Dining is a great experience in Rockville. From the restaurants in Pike & Rose and Town Square to Clyde’s for brunch, Stanford Grill for the fish of the day or weekly sushi special or Silver Diner for a burger and a shake. There’s a great spot for just about anything.

Schools in Montgomery County fall into the MCPS District, which is a top school district in the state. The high schools in Rockville are Thomas Wootton, Richard Montgomery and Rockville High School. Rockville is also home to the largest campus for Montgomery County Community College.

Shopping is made simple in Rockville with the setup of Rockville Town Square and Pike & Rose. Town Square has 25+ shops and restaurants, seasonal concerts, a splash pad for the kids to beat the heat in the summer months & the ice rink for skating in the winter. Pike & Rose has 20+ shops and restaurants & a movie theater.

Recreation activities comes easy in Rockville. There are multiple breweries, so reserve your tour. If you want to ice skate year round, Cabin John Ice Rink has that. Spend some time in nature in Rock Creek Park and so many other activities.
