Crofton’s location is ideal for those who are looking to be between two major metro areas and have multiple access points. Being just south of Baltimore gives you quick access to all the city vibe you want. If you want a feel of being on the water, Annapolis is a short distance to the east. College park and all that the UMD community has to offer is an easy car ride. Bowie is immediately to the south and DC is beyond that.

There are a bunch of places to eat in Crofton. A few of the local favorite spots are Allison’s Restaurant, for Italian and seafood. Frisco Taphouse serves up an American bar and pub fare. The Blue Dolphin serves American food as well as seafood.

But if you’d like to take a couple G-Forces out of your leisure time you can always check out Crofton Swim and Tennis Club. Crofton Park has baseball fields, basketball courts, playground, almost 2 miles of a paved walking trail, picnic areas, and so on. There’s also Crofton Pool to get some laps in or just take a quick dip.

Crofton is an attractive place because it is so close to so many destination areas here in Maryland. There are some great places for eating and drinking as well as having many options for all of your shopping needs.
