Clarksburg Village

Clarksburg Village, where the old homes in Clarksburg are.

Clarksburg Village has been around since 1948. It consists of single family, detached homes and some condos and townhouses in there as well. Bedrooms and bathrooms range from two to seven, so these are... there are some larger homes in the community here. With the larger homes, that also means a higher price point. Square footage is anywhere between 1,100 up to 8,000, so when you get some of these seven bedroom houses, they're up to just about 8,000 square feet as well.

Over the last 12 months, we've seen the list prices range from 500,000 to just over a million. Closed price points where just south of $170,000, all the way up to 1.1 million, so that leaves us with a median sales price of $533,000. There is potentially an association fee, so make sure that you check on each individual property before you purchase. And those fees can be as high as $210 per month, when it comes to an HOA fee.

When it comes to amenities, there's two clubhouses, there's two pools. You're going to have some playgrounds in the neighborhoods and tot lots. Clarksburg Village Center for all your shopping needs for your day-to-day stuff, groceries, and all that good stuff. And then once again, you have the premium outlets for all your retail shopping needs. You have GrillMarX, Villa Maya, Red Bowl Asian Bistro. You'll also have convenience stores, gas stations, salons, all that stuff right there as well.

With Clarksburg Village Center, that also is going to bring you a little more walkability. So you're going to be able to walk to and from the grocery store, to and from restaurants and stuff like that. So, the walk score is going to be a little bit higher than in some of the other places in Clarksburg, at a 42. You'll have the ride on bus system to get you all around Clarksburg. The bike score is a 54, so not bad, when it comes to getting around on your bike. And then in terms of schools, make sure you check the MCPS assignment websites so that you know what your school assignment would be, if you have school aged kids, or if you're thinking about having some school-aged kids, in a handful of years.

So, that's Clarksburg Village Center. If you're thinking about moving to the Clarksburg area, make sure that you reach out.
