You have a wide selection of grocery stores from Aldi, Corner Market, SafeWay, Trader Joe’s & Whole Foods too.

There is a ton of recreation especially since Silver Spring has 4 major creeks. Rock Creek, Sligo Creek, Long Branch and Northwest Branch all have parks, playgrounds and hiking trails and some have picnic areas and tennis courts. If you are looking for something outside of the great outdoors try a local cultural event or festival. The Fillmore has regularly scheduled live entertainment. Silverdocs is a documentary film festival that happens every June. The Thanksgiving Parade is held every year the Saturday before Thanksgiving. There is also an annual Jazz Festival every 2nd Saturday of September.
